M.W. Bro. James Cole was born at New London, Prince Edward Island on July 11, 1903. He was educated in the public schools of the province and followed in his fathers footsteps by conducting most successfully the farming business.
On October 25, 1933, our Grand Master was united in marriage with Miss Myrtle Bernard of New London, and they have one daughter, Lorraine.
A loyal member and enthusiastic worker in the Presbyterian Church at New London, Brother Cole has served as an Elder for the past several years and is also a member of the Board of Trustees.
M.W. Bro. Cole received his Entered Apprentice degree in Prince Edward Lodge No. 14 at Stanley Bridge on February 2nd, 1944, was passed to the Fellow Craft on April 5th and raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason May 3rd of the same year. He served as Worshipful Master of his Lodge in 1949 and Grand Lodge immediately claimed his services three years later as Junior Grand Deacon. From this position he advanced each year until he was elected to the Grand East in 1961.
Our Grand Master represents the Grand Lodge Colombia of Bogota near the Grand Lodge of Prince Edward Island.
