Most Worshipful Bro. S. Forrest (“Bush”) Dumville was born in Summerside, P.E.I., on January 6, 1945, son of Stanley and Elizabeth (Boulter). He has one brother, Lawrence, who lives in New Glasgow, P.E.I.

He spent his early years in O’Leary, and graduated from the O’Leary Regional High School in 1966. He was attending Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown when called to Royal Canadian Mounted Police training in Regina, Saskatchewan, in January, 1967. From the training Academy, he was transferred to Toronto, Ontario.

On July 5, 1969, Bro. Dumville married Sylvia Foley of Bloomfield, P.E.I., in Saint Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Bloomfield, and she returned with him to Toronto. Thereafter, their lives together included RCMP postings in Springdale, Newfoundland; Saint John, New Brunswick; Fredericton, New Brunswick; and Ottawa, Ontario. Finally, they returned to Prince Edward Island where, on July 9, 1979, “Bush” opened a Burger King restaurant in Charlottetown, and on July 1, 1986, opened another in Summerside.

During these busy years, the family expanded to include two daughters, Tara and Moya.

Brother Dumville has served as a Director and Campaign Chairman on many Community Service Organizations. Is Past President of the Charlottetown Rotary Club, Past President of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veteran’s Association. Is a member of Spring Park United Church and was once an avid hockey player and now his personal interests are Vintage Automobiles and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

He was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in Victoria Lodge No. 2, Charlottetown, on March 11th, 1985, becoming Worshipful Master in 1991. He was appointed Grand Sword Bearer in 1991, and progressed to the Office of Grand Master in 1997. He is also a member of the Nova Scotia Sovereign Consistory 32° Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Halifax, and a Shrine Mason in the Island Shrine Club, Charlottetown.

Most Worshipful Bro. Dumville continues to hold the office of Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge of the State of Vermont, near the Grand Lodge of Prince Edward Island and sits on the Grand Lodge Board of General Purposes.
