Shannon Marshall Daniel, was born at Shelbourue, Nova Scotia, on April 16th, 1891, the son of the Reverend L. Daniel.

He entered the service of the Royal Bank of Canada ,in 1908, having been attached to the following branches: Halifax, NS., Vancouver, B.C.; Fredericton, N. B.; Pictou, N. S., was appointed Branch Manager in 1919 and transferred to the Hunter River, P. E. I., Branch in 1922.

In Freemasonry, he was Initiated 2nd. May, 1918, Passed 6th. June, 1918, and Raised 4th. July, 1918 in Hiram Lodge, No. 6, Fredericton, N. B.

He was a Charter Member of Prince of Wales Lodge, ,No. 18, formed at Hunter River, where they held their first meeting under Dispensation, on the first Friday in December, 1926, Bro. Daniel being their, first Worshipful Master, who presided and served as such during. the years 1927 and 1928.

He was appointed as Grand Representative of the of the Grand Lodge of South Carolina in 1927. Was appointed Grand Standard Bearer in 1928; Junior Grand Steward in 1929. Elected Junior Grand Warden in 1930; Senior Grand Warden in 1931; Deputy. Grand Master in 1932, and in 1933 Grand Master.
