William John Drake, was born in. Charlottetown on July 23rd, 1873. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice in Victoria Lodge No. 2, Charlottetown on 15th. March, 1909, being raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason on 9th. June, 1909. In 1918 he was Installed as Worshipful Master of his Lodge.

On the 29th. March, 1912, he was exalted as a Royal Arch Mason In Alexandra Chapter, No. 14, Charlottetown, and was made High Priest in 1918.

He joined Prince Edward Preceptory, No. 35, Knights Templar, on 19th. November, 1913, and elected presiding Preceptor in 1920.

Joined Philae Temple, A. A. 0. N. M. S. of Halifax, N. S., on December 30th, 1913.

Joined the Scottish Rite Body on 9th. January, 1918. 140 in Albert Edward Lodge of Perfection, A. A. S. R., Charlottetown.

Grand Lodge, A. F. & A. M. Appointed Jun. Grand Deacon in 1922. Senior Grand Deacon in 1923. Elected Junior Grand Warden in 1924. Senior Grand Warden in 1925. Deputy Grand Master in 1926, and Grand Master in 1927.
