The new Lodge Room was dedicated on May 6, 1986. M.W.Bro Major E. Reid, the Grand Master, assisted by V.W.Bro. M.Earl MacDonald, Grand Secretary, presided at the Dedication. Prayer and blessing was given by V.W.Bro. Garland Brooks,.the Grand Chaplain. A Plaque was placed in the South to commemorate the occasion. A history of the Lodge was given by V.W.Bro. Huntley Dingwell Several Past Grand Masters were in attendance. M.W.Bro. Reagh Bagnall PGM was presented with his Life Membership Certificate.

Several new furnishings have been added since 1985. Carpet runners were added in 1986 and replacement ones in 1997. Some kitchen equipment and counters were bought by tender from C.N.R.in Borden in 1987. A lighted Masonic Sign for the Entrance was acquired in 1995. The Masonic Pavement west of the Altar was installed in 1997. Two sets of Door Knockers were donated in January 2000 by Past Masters Brian MacKay and Allison Coles

Prince of Wales Lodge has a fine record of support for local youth programs. Since 1987 the Lodge has annually presented a plaque to each of the presidents in the four 4-H Clubs in the area. St. Ann’s Club acknowledged the support with a Plaque for the Lodge in 1994. Financial support, building materials and volunteer labour in support of the Camp for Handicapped Children at Oyster Bed Bridge was noted in the 1980’s. In 1983 lumber salvaged from the old Hall in Hunter River was used to restore a building at the camp with labour also provided by Lodge members. Kitchen equipment and food for Camp Gencheff was recorded in 1987. Prince of Wales Lodge was one of three Craft Lodges that partnered with the Island Shrine Club in 2000 to carry our a renovation project Camp Gencheff. Considerable volunteer labour was provided by the Brethren. V.W.Bro. Grant Rackham and W.Bro. Allison Coles were co-chairpersons for the project.

In 1985 the Lodge began the tradition of recognizing a ‘Mason of the Year’ within the membership. A large wooden Plaque with individual plates is displayed on the north wall. The first winner was W.Bro. Lloyd Pound PM
