Harold Lloyd Palmer was born September 30, 1914, at Conway, P.E.I. where he received his primary education.
In 1941 he married Verna May MacFadyen of Charlottetown and are the proud parents of one son Lloyd and one daughter Elaine.
He is a member of St. Peters Anglican Church, Lot 11. In 1937 he joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served as Chief Petty Officer until 1945, during his service with the Navy he was mentioned in dispatches.
In 1947 he was employed by the Canadian National Railways Ferry Service and at the present time is Chief Officer on the M.V. Abegweit.
He is President of the Borden Branch No. 10 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
He served for four years on the Borden Town Council and three on the School Board.
He is Maritime Representative of the Canadian Merchant Service Guild.
May 1, 1950 Most Worshipful Brother Palmer received his Entered Apprentice degree in Mount Moriah Lodge No. 15, Cape Traverse. He was installed its Worshipful Master in 1957 and in 1965 he was elected and installed Grand Master.
His other Masonic affiliations are Royal Arch Masonry. He was exalted in Prince Edward Chapter No. 12 Kensington 1956 and was elected its High Priest in 1962.
May 1958 he joined Prince Edward Preceptory No. 35, Knights Templar, Charlottetown.
