Proceedings of the Grand Lodge of Prince Edward Island, A.F. & A.M.
On December 11, 1877 Mount Lebanon Lodge No. 6 in Summerside granted unanimous support to a Petition from nineteen Brethren from the Kensington area to start a new Masonic Lodge in their community. Fourteen of the Brethren named in the Petition were members of Mount Lebanon Lodge. The Petition was received by Grand Lodge and a Dispensation was issued on February 25, 1878 by Deputy Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Adam Murray.
